UBP 2016 Sustainability Report wins at 16th Quill Awards

UnionBank' 2016 Sustainability Report: Driven by a Higher Purpose won an Award of Merit during the 16th Quill Awards held last July 09, 2018 at Mariott Manila. The inaugural standalone sustainability report received the award under Communication Skills Division, Writing Category.

With the publication of the report, UnionBank highlighted a refreshed sustainability strategy—To be a bank of enduring greatness through smart banking, focusing on three pillars: People, Planet, and Purpose. It follows the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards 2016, the gold standard of sustainability reporting, and discloses the Bank's material topics in the area of the economy, society, and environment.

Present during the awards night was FVP Montano Dimapilis, Facilities Management Group Head, and Abigail Bonita, Head of Sustainability Services Unit. The Quill Awards is an annual event organized by the International Association for Business Communication (IABC), an established global group that recognizes the best practices in the business communications across organizations and businesses.
